Initially founded in 1845 in Amsterdam, Cornel Geerts International Forwarding BV has a rich history as a forwarding agent under the supervision and management of prominent shipping lines in Rotterdam. Today, the company operates as part of the CG Inspired by Corneel Geerts group, working closely together with its sister companies to provide integrated transport, customs and logistics services across Europe.

Since 1985, CG International Forwarding became privately owned again through a friendly management buy-out and continued as a mid-sized forwarding agent, specialized in full logistics services for general cargo, FMCG and alcoholic products, including full customs clearance procedures and related European road distribution.

In 1992, CG International Forwarding was initiator and co-founder of the IFA association, which developed into a pan-European network of privately owned forwarding companies.

Our head office is strategically situated in Venlo (NL). Since 2025, we operate a brand-new bonded warehouse facility (including AGP licence) covering 6,000 m² with storage capacity for approximately 12,000 pallets. The facility is daily connected via inland rail and barge terminals with the main ports of Rotterdam, Amsterdam and Antwerp. Our focus is on customs-related traffics and logistics activities by concentrating on import and export flows from overseas and non-EU countries.

In 2014 we achieved official AEO certification.

We also offer neutral consolidation services (collection and distribution) for international partners who require the issuance of export documentation (EXA / ATR / T1 / CVO etc.) or customs clearance. One of our specialisms is the Turkish market.

In addition, we can act as a (limited) fiscal representative for EU and non-EU clients. This allows our customers easy access to the EU market without the obligation of being registered with EU tax authorities.
