European refrigeration transport services
Special vehicles are needed for the transport of frozen or chilled goods and cargo. They need to be able to maintain a temperature necessary to preserve the quality of the frozen or chilled goods. You can count on the freight forwarders network for refrigeration transport to every part of Europe.
The specialised refrigeration trucks
Each of the freight forwarders in the European Logistics Network has special trucks with refrigeration equipment and a capacity of up to 20 tons. The temperature is controlled at all times during the transport by the drivers. They use the temperature loggers which are located in their cabins to monitor and regulate the temperature in accordance to the requirements for the frozen or chilled products and cargo being forwarded. These drivers are certified for being trained to transport and control the condition of the cargo in refrigeration trucks.
Distribution to various destination in Europe via the IFA partnership network
Each of the international freight forwarders has developed its local network. The cooperation of international freight forwarding allows for optimal terms and competitive prices for international refrigerated transport.
Thanks to its own distribution networks and storage bases, each of the European logistics companies can complete the final distribution stages of frozen and chilled products quickly and in time.
Additional services for the convenience of the customers of the companies from the network of freight forwarders
The transport of frozen and chilled products and cargo by the forwarders throughout Europe is a complex service, which includes the following services for the convenience of the customers as well:
- Loading and unloading
- Preparing the necessary supporting documents
- Identifying optimal routes
- Door to door deliveries
- Storage of the goods before distribution, upon request
Preparing individual service packages for each regular customer
The member companies of IFA have their own regular clients, and their numbers grow constantly. We offer individual service packages to each regular customer, in order to meet their specific requests and needs, including: the delivery terms, the frequency of deliveries, routes and prices.
When planning the routes, the international freight forwarders take into account various factors, including: price, time, environmental impact.
Being able to compile the optimal routes, means burning the least possible quantities of fuel for forwarding. This contributes to the ecology of contract logistics and distribution logistics. This allows IFA to help with the general care for minimising environmental pollution.
